Osmo Pocket 3 — the vlogger's camera
A true mechanical gimbal is why the Osmo Pocket 3 produces footage that looks like it came from a much larger rig. Walking shots are floaty-smooth without the cropping electronic stabilisation requires, and the 1-inch sensor holds up indoors and at night. ActiveTrack keeps you framed, the screen rotates for vertical video, and the Creator Combo adds the DJI Mic 2 transmitter, a wide-angle lens and a battery handle. It is not waterproof and not for mounting on a helmet. The newer Osmo Pocket 4 adds ActiveTrack 7.0 and refined colour science but, as explained in the FAQ, is Canada-only at ASI Computer.
Osmo Action 5 Pro and Action 6 — the rugged wearables
The Osmo Action 5 Pro is waterproof to 20 m out of the box, runs up to four hours per battery in 1080p and has 47 GB of internal storage so you never miss a run because of a forgotten card. The Osmo Action 6 keeps the body and mounts but moves to a 1-inch-class sensor and 64 GB storage; low-light footage is visibly cleaner. Both use DJI's magnetic quick-release, so existing mounts carry over. The earlier Osmo Action 4 at $160.13 remains a bargain for daytime sports.
Osmo 360 — shoot first, frame later
The Osmo 360 records everything around you in 8K and lets you choose the framing in the app afterwards — ideal for tours, real-estate walk-throughs, mountain biking and any situation where you cannot operate a camera. The square 1-inch-class sensor gives it better low-light performance than most 360 cameras, and it doubles as a 4K/60 flat camera. Stitching needs the DJI Mimo app or desktop software, so budget editing time.
Which should you buy?
- Talking to camera, travel vlogs, streaming: Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo.
- Sports, water, helmet or chest mount: Osmo Action 6 (best image) or Action 5 Pro (best value).
- Immersive tours, POV without a camera operator: Osmo 360.
- Smallest possible wearable: the Osmo Nano at about 85 g with a 1/1.3-inch sensor.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Osmo Pocket 4 available in the United States?
No. The Osmo Pocket 4 launched after the FCC added new foreign-made DJI camera products to its Covered List (December 2025) and did not receive FCC authorization. ASI Computer sells it to Canadian customers only; US buyers should choose the Osmo Pocket 3, which remains authorized.
Osmo Action 5 Pro or Action 6?
The Action 6 upgrades to a 1-inch-class sensor and 64 GB internal storage for better low-light footage. The Action 5 Pro at $261.58 is still excellent and about $70 cheaper. Choose the Action 6 if you shoot dusk, indoors or want the best image; the 5 Pro for value.
Can the Osmo Pocket 3 be used as a webcam?
Yes. Connected via USB-C it works as a UVC webcam on Windows and macOS, and the rotating screen doubles as a monitor — a popular setup for streamers.
Which is best for motorcycle or skiing footage?
The Osmo Action 5 Pro or Action 6: helmet-mountable, waterproof to 20 m without a case, magnetic quick-release mounts and RockSteady stabilisation. The Osmo 360 is the alternative if you want to reframe shots afterwards.
